\nSorry, I keep having my classes taken off me for one reason or another hence I have not been able to have many of my students add their information.
\nI am very dissapointed. Working in a non English speaking environment is great in many ways but communication is often a problem.

\nWhen will the wikis be open for my kids to add more infor?

\nIf each teacher could find 10 web resources to act as a starting point for students on a gobal issues and then we let the students expand it, stretch it and turn it into something they are interested in. \nIt would be fine for each of the 4 teachers to have global issues that overlap but it would be good it they come from different internet resources.

\nI totally agree. We set out a date, and we should stick to it. I don't think that the project was difficult to do, it was basically a "Hi this is where I go to school" kind of project....very easy.

\nUnfortunately, we all have kids that didn't take it seriously and were scrambling at the last minute, or haven't even started. Nonetheless, we should shut down the pages at midnight Toronto time, and then open them up for another 48 hours so that they can re-evaluate their content on their pages and just tidy them up??? I Do you think that works guys?

\nAnyhow I think we've been successful thus far, and we've won over the majority of our kids if I'm not mistaken. I've had a couple of kids ask what's next already, so I'm thinking that we can wrap the 4cornersproject up and start up with our new one, whatever that may be in about 2 weeks time?

\nI'm thinking about stuff like global warming, eco schools, environmental issues, Kyoto, things around a science\/global awareness. Is there other things that you guys are thinking about, we can even look at our respective countries relations with each other...just spewing here...stuff like 6 degrees of separation between our 4 countries, i'm sure it exists...maybe even economy and trade, work something out through math, GDP, etc. anyhow, just rambling a bit.

\nOk, so I'm thinking that we give them a 48 hour extension to tidy up their pages. What do you guys think?

\nOh well, these are the trials and tribulations of making things work.

\nGuys, I've set criteria for all my kids as the following:
\n
\n1) 2 photos per person per section...total 8 photos per person
\n2) summaries for each photo uploaded...total 8 summaries per person.
\n
\nAs we are each looking after different groups, can I ask you all to look for that with my Deer Park kids that are in your groups? If you'd like me to look for something specific from your kids, let me know. I'm doing groups 21-30.

\nAlso, as we finish up this project, and begin thinking of a potentially larger project, I wanted to share with you guys an online magazine that I subscribe to that is sponsored by George Lucas (famous for the Star Wars movies).
\n
\nIt's called Edutopia and it has several different online magazines that one can subscribe to, from environmental\/science to online technology. Anyhow, i was thinking that their might be some ideas there for our next project. If you have some time please check out their website:
